TREATMENT TYPES

Deep Tissue

Deep tissue massage works the fibres of the muscle to release toxins and deeply held tension points. By focusing on various areas of the body, the massage therapist uses slow, deep specific movements to the affected areas.

Remedial Massage

An all over body massage that soothes and relieves tired and sore muscles. Remedial massage is one of the most commonly practiced massage methods.

Sports Massage

A Sports Massage can be beneficial before or after engaging in physical activity. It can help prepare the muscles for training or relieve tension that may accumulate as a result of excess strain during sport.

Swedish Massage

This massage uses movements such as kneading, vibrating, tapping and controlled shaking to apply pressure between the muscles and bones. Its main purpose is to increase oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from the muscles.

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger Point Therapy is a method used to target and release muscle knots by applying pressure to another part of the body, which may otherwise seem unrelated. For example, a sore neck could be relieved by focusing on the shoulder blade..

Myofascial Release

Think of the fascia as densely woven netting that covers, connects and holds the muscles, organs, and skeletal structures in our body. Myofascial Release uses sustained pressure and movements into the fascial system, alleviating ailments that may include back pain, headaches, and muscle pain.

Aromatherapy Massage

This increasingly favoured approach uses a combination of massage oil and essential oils, derived from various floras known for their natural healing benefits. Through the aroma of the oils and their absorption into the skin and blood stream, Aromatherapy Massage promotes general wellbeing.
